Burn Permit Information

All private lands within Tooele County are eligible to apply for a burn permit with the exception of Stansbury Park and Tooele City. These areas have localized ordinances that prohibit debris burning. State code prohibits the burning of trash and anything that was not grown on the property unless your local government does not provide a garbage collection service.

HIGHLIGHTS; notification to the nearest Fire Department or Dispatch is always required for any burning other than recreational fires. Certain weather condition requirements must be confirmed. Fires must never be left unattended. Fires must be extinguished before dark
